Narcan Training

Drug overdose deaths in the U.S. remain at record levels. According to provisional data by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 109,000 people died of a drug overdose in the 12-month period ending March 2022

 

When used correctly it’s reported that (95%) of people that were hit with narcan were successfully reversed. 

 

It is an absolute necessity that anyone with a history of opioid addiction knows how to correctly administer Narcan. Especially in a recovery house setting. 

 

We had the pleasure of introducing our guys to the incredible Elizabeth Cornett and Delaney Dunn with Family Service. They came out to facilitate a workshop on Harm Reduction and for the continuum of care! We learned current drug trends, how to identify overdose, how to administer narcan, rescue breathing and how to effectively use fentyal testing strips!!!
